We’re excited to share a glimpse from 2025 season’s planting at our Waterkloof Research Center & farm! OPUS Cactus® is expanding! We’re adding another 50 hectares to our research farm in South Africa, moving way beyond pilot scale into full implementation. While many agri-biotech companies exist only in pitch decks, OPUS Cactus® is built on soil, not just slides.

We’re scaling our living laboratory where every hectare generates data:

🌱 We grow and trial dozens of Opuntia cultivars and management systems side by side.

🧪 We optimise and innovate Biogas production, animal feed conversion, and soil regeneration in living systems.

♻ We close loops by cooking with our own biogas and returning digestate to the soil.

🌾 We measure the impact of regenerative agriculture in practice.

Every plot, digester, and data point improves our capability to scalable regenerative bioenergy solutions for semi-arid regions. Not because we just talk about it, but because we’re executing it at scale.
